What do you wear on sunny days?
Teaching aims
Students can grasp new words such as T-shirt, shorts, cap, and sunglasses.
Students can ask and answer questions about their wearing in daily communication.
Students will develop their oral speaking skills by having a role play.
Students will be more interested in English by taking part in a variety of activities.

Teaching procedures
Step 1: Warming-up
1. Greetings.
2. Let students enjoy a song named Do Re Mi and ask them what do they usually do on sunny days. The song goes like:
Sunny day oh sunny day.
How i long for a sunny day.
Hey hey hey hey oh sunny day.
Sunny day oh sunny day.
Please don't let us wait for you.
Let you sun beams shine on us.
Come out dear and shine for all.
Ask students to answer the question. Then tell them that we can wear beautiful wearings on a sunny day and lead into the topic.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Show some stick figures for clothes on the blackboard, ask them what they are, and describe some information related to clothes. Then introduce the new words to the students.
2. Guide students to read all the new words one more time.
3. Ask students “Do you know how to use the new words in our daily life?” and teach them the new sentence patterns such as “what do you wear on sunny days?” “I wear my T-shirt, shorts, cap and sunglasses.”
4. Encourage students to find out that they can change the clothes and weather in the sentence patterns to make more asks and answers.
Step 3: Practice
Play 2 games with students.
1. High and low voice.
Tell students to Play a game called high and low voice to practice the words. The rule is: when the teacher reads words in a high voice, students read the words in a low voice. When the teacher reads the words in a low voice, students should use a high voice to read them.
2. Describe the picture
Show students a picture of people’s wearing in different weather. Divided students into groups of 4, and ask students to describe the person’s wearing by using the sentence patterns they have learned. Then invite some of them to share their works and give them positive feedback.
Step 4: Production
Tell them to imagine that the school newspaper is doing a survey about what they wear in different weather and ask them to have a role play about it. Ask one of them to be the interviewer while the other student to be the interviewee. 5 minutes to make preparation. After that, invite some volunteers to share their role plays and give them positive feedback.
Step 5: Summary and Homework
Summary: invite a student to be a little teacher and summarize today’s lesson.
Homework: ask students to draw a picture of their wearing in different weather, and introduce it in the next class.

In today’s new lesson, I set up different interesting activities to help students to foster their interest in learning English. Firstly, I used a song to lead in today’s new lesson, it can help me not only attract students’ attention but also build up a relaxing atmosphere for the new lesson. Secondly, in the teaching process, I take good advantage of stick figures and combine the vivid picture with knowledge to enhance their memory and meanwhile motivate their interest in the lesson. Furthermore, I also designed various interesting games and group work to help my students practice the new knowledge. At last, I set up drawing as today’s homework. By doing so, students will find out the interest in learning English through finishing their homework.

在教学过程中,游戏能够帮助学生更好的练习并掌握新知识,并且创设良好的课堂学习氛围,本节课我主要通过高低声游戏来帮助学生巩固新知:
首先,我会先和学生说明游戏规则,让学生懂得如何正确的参与到游戏中。其次我会组织全体学生都参与到游戏中,让学生通过不同形式的模仿训练,进一步巩固对单词发音和单词拼写的记忆。练习环节中,我也会不断变换互动方式,给学生多样的话的评价,提升学生的参与感。
通过以上活动,学生能够高效的提升对知识的理解和掌握。

In the teaching process, games will help students to practice the knowledge they have learned. Also, the nice atmosphere in the lesson can be set up through it. As for this lesson, I mainly used the high and low voice to help students tin the practice part.
Firstly, I explained the rules of the games to my students, so, students knew how to take part in the game correctly.
Secondly, I organized all of my students to take part in the games. Through the game, students can have various chances to imitate and consolidate the pronunciation and spelling of words. Last but not the least, I gave my students positive feedback at the end of the game, and encourage them to take an actively part in English learning activities.
Through all the procedures mentioned above, students can have better understanding of the knowledge and consolidate with high proficiency.
