Mozi, one of the greatest philosophers in Spring and Autumn Period, created Mohism. The core of Mohism is universal love, close to the idea that all men are equal before God. In his life time, rulers of feudal states, to satisfied their endless needs, initiated aggressive wars by conquering their neighbors, thus bringing the people into disastrous impasse.
Mozi claimed the right of survival for the people as well as the weak and small states. He advocated economy and thrift. He condemned for any types offensive warfare, which would destroy the life of common people.
